Description
CycloTech GmbH is a technology company with start-up character in Linz, which specializes in the development of flight propulsion systems based on Cyclogyro Rotors. These drives form the basis for a completely new type of flying machine that offers significant advantages over previous concepts and will thus revolutionize the transport of goods and people over short distances or in inner-city areas.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of individual parts or assemblies using modern lightweight materials
- Development of kinematic mechanisms, for eg.: pitch control of rotor blades as well as structural parts and assemblies of the vehicles
- Mechanical design of test bench and assembly jigs for rotors and air-frames
- Selection and coordination of external development partners and suppliers
- Acceptance and evaluation of purchased components and assemblies
- Taking part to the further development of organization and process landscape
- Collaborate with team members and across departments, e.g. mechanical engineering, software development and aerodynamics
- Supervision of development projects from the initial idea to the finished prototype
Qualifications
- Completed education in the field of mechanical engineering or mechatronics (HTL, FH or University)
- Several years of professional experience in the design of mechanical components
- Experience in the field of light-weight design and highly dynamic systems is an advantage (eg.: aluminium, composite materials)
- Ideally experience with CAD, software CREO
- Knowledge in the field of strength analyses and optimizations (FEM) is considered to be a plus
- Pro-active and independent way of work
- Accurate and well-structured personality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
