Testing and Validation Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Testing & Validation Engineer in Cylotech you will be responsible for the tests and validation of CycloRotor Prototypes. This includes the drivetrain consisting of electric motors, inverters and rotor control system.

You will manage testing activities, for both internal and external testing. You will collaborate in the specification and design of test benches and equipment, create test plans, execute tests, collect and analyse data, create test reports, and discuss test results with engineering department.

Beside that you also will:

  • Prepare & execute CycloRotor test programs
  • Capture all test requirements and step by step building up the knowledge towards Electric hybrid propulsion system requirements (EASA EHPS SC E-19)
  • Define & obtain test hardware/equipment within the design team (eg.: test benches)
  • Execute test orders (eg.: rotor performance tests)
  • Use of computer data analysis tools for postprocessing, and generation of test plans and validation reports
  • Collaborate with team members and across departments, e.g. mechanical engineering, software development and aerodynamics
  • Completed Education (HTL, FH or University degree) in the field of Electrical-, Electro-Mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of proven hands-on experience working in the test environment in electrical/mechanical testing, preferably electrical motors, power electronics or equivalent
  • Strong engineering background with excellent program management, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in setting up and safely operate test equipment according to the standard operating procedures in a high voltage environment (up to 1000V).
  • Experience in aerospace industry is an advantage
  • Capable of creating, improving, and executing test procedures.
  • Capable of problem-solving and debugging electrical and measurements systems
  • Excellent observation skills to ensure good test data collection
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal), German language skills are welcome,
  • Proficiency in Catman, Matlab and MS Office
  • Willingness to travel for testing support (approx. 6 weeks per annum)
  • Hands on mentality to ensure project success

  • Annual full-time based salary for the position is € 55,000 gross per year. However, we are willing to overpay according to your qualification and experience.
